This was my first time shooting at The Berwick Golf Club and it was a lot of fun for me. I had so many options to work with it was hard to decide what I photo I wanted to take first. I’m really happy with what I was able to capture. I was also very fortunate to capture some candid photos of Katie and her grandfather throwing stones into the pond.

The song they choose was Hartland’s – I loved her first. The song talks about a father giving his daughter away in marriage but reminding the groom that he was the one who loved her first.
When I delivered the photos, Carolynn asked me why her father was waving his finger during their dance. I told her that he was waving his finger in sync with the line “I loved her first and I held her first”. Just from the smile on her face I could tell how meaningful the photo was to her.
